Wind farms are going to be an election issue in 2015. Recent reports that David Cameron could make an election pledge to get rid of wind farms and then reports saying that Nick Clegg had blocked an earlier move to stop building more onshore wind farms, illustrates a rift in understanding and an uncaring attitude towards rural communities by some politicians.
The Folly Needs To Be Stopped; we must limit the spread of turbines across the countryside before we inflict more harm on our landscapes and bring misery to more rural communities.
Make Your Views Known Now – we don’t want any more onshore wind farms and we cannot afford to sacrifice anymore of our countryside on such an expensive folly.
Currently nearly 40% of UK electricity is generated from Coal and costs £50/MWHr.
What will the effect be on consumer bills when this is replaced by new forms of generation costing twice as much?
